"Nice little New Orleans style cafe in downtown Franklinton. Unexpected. … Their fried shrimp was truly outstanding. Very flavorful. That's rare for that area."— Google review

Fried shrimp loaded into toasted bread, dressed with romaine, tomato, and pickle — "Absolutely the bomb!" as one reviewer captioned it.
With spinach — the one the regulars say they keep coming back for.
Thick, juicy, piping hot — add jalapeños for a little heat. One reviewer called it a masterpiece.

Cornmeal-fried catfish with seasoned fries — scratch-cooked like everything else on the board.
A favorite with the coffee crowd — well-crafted espresso on one side, a hot croissant on the other.
Red Brick Cafe opened in 2017 in an old storefront on Lee Street, right in downtown Franklinton. The idea hasn't changed since: a little New Orleans-style cafe where the day's menu is chalked on the board, you order at the counter, and the kitchen works in plain view.
Everything is made from scratch with the freshest ingredients — and the rhythm is part of the charm: breakfast from 8, lunch till the kitchen wraps at 2, six mornings a week. When the board says a dish is gone, it's gone till tomorrow.
